One day in late August 2015, I was looking at YouTube and happened to come across a video on soap making. I decided to try it! I had just retired from the horse farm and needed a hobby. The next day I purchased a few supplies and I was on my way. It didn’t take long to find out that there was a LOT more to it than a simple video. Many hours of research later and a lot of money – I have discovered some of the secrets to soap making. It’s a little like baking- sometimes it turns out perfect and sometimes it ends up in the trash.
I love the cold process for soap making, it is more like the soap my Grandma made except we use higher quality oils and pure lye. We also use micas and gel for coloring. Carrots, clays, beets, pumpkins, cucumber, salt from Gods Green Earth are used for natural color. Cinnamon, beet, root powder, turmeric, coffee and anything natural is fair game!
I hope you will love using this soap and my sugar scrubs as much as I do!
